IT (Digital Technology & Analytics) Intern

As an IT Intern in Digital Technology & Analytics (DT&A) department at Louis Dreyfus Company, you will be supporting the team on process improvements, data analysis and visualization projects. This internship is designed to provide you exposure to the DT&A function, gaining hands-on experience and practical knowledge that would be valuable for your future career in Information Technology.

Internship duration:

• Between July to Dec 2024

Main Responsibilities:

• Streamlining existing data collection processes and consolidate data sources to improve efficiency and accuracy to ensure efficient data collection.
• Ensure data quality by performing data clean-up and validations
• Analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Develop actionable business insights through data analysis and visualization
• Create informative, visually appealing power BI dashboards or BI reports based on users' requirements to simplify current reporting process and communicate data driven insights effectively

• Gain proficiency in data analysis and techniques
• Develop problem solving skills by tackling complex data related challenges and learn to identify areas for improvements in business operations
• Transform various raw data into actionable insights and make a meaningful impact on business operations
• Hands on experience in data analysis and using BI tools e.g., Power BI with the real-world project and datasets
• Opportunities to communicate complex data findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive business decisions. And collaborate with experienced professionals in a team environment.
• Gain exposure to commodity trading industry, work closely with functional teams (trading, commercial, finance etc.) and transform business processes

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of Excel, PL SQL and BI tools e.g., Tableau, Power BI.
• Familiarity with Azure data products e.g., Azure Synapse, databricks a plus.
