  • Loads and unloads trucks and railcars with products, using computerized control stations, meters and scales. Ensures the timely receipt and delivery of all handled products.
  • Loads and unloads flammable liquids.
  • Inspects material handling equipment and performs routine adjustments and maintenance as required. 
  • Ensures compliance with Company safety rules and wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as required in fulfillment of assigned responsibilities. 
  • Responds to equipment issues or alarms; investigates and initiates resolutions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensures work area is kept clean and free from safety hazards.
  • Completes tasks as assigned by plant superintendents and Shift Leaders.
  • Serves as the liaison between plant superintendents and the production staff.
  • Actively participates in Shift/Team activities including complying with best practices, standard operating procedures, development and maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Actively participates in job-related training as required

Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and industrial processing machinery.
  • Ability to perform all duties of position while maintaining compliance with regulatory safety

        requirements, e.g., OSHA (including PSM, EPA, USDA, ISO 9000 and BQ-9000). 

  • High school diploma/GED (Technical degree preferred).
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders as well as work at heights; manage confined space entry, withstand extended periods of walking and standing; and move manufacturing materials, products and equipment of 50 pounds or more which requires regular bending and lifting. 
  • Effective communication skills
  • Fundamental PC skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic math skills.
