Warrnambool, Australia and Singapore, 4 August 2016 \u2013 The privately owned Midfield Group and Louis Dreyfus Company Dairy Asia Pte Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Company Asia, announced today that they have entered into a joint venture for the construction, development and management of a dairy processing plant and related commercial activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new plant, currently under construction in Penola, South Australia, is expected to start operations in July 2017. When completed, the plant will have an annual processing capacity of 220 million litres of raw milk, producing dairy powders and fats for the domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The joint venture combines Midfield\u2019s expertise in dairy farming and processing operations with Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC)\u2019s experience in risk management and global merchandizing of agricultural and dairy products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
