Summary
In this role, you will become the hands-on expert and implementation resource for the Domestic Trading & Execution Solution. Your engagement in the solution extends to the collection of IT Applications and supported business processes which covers business operations relevant to Domestic Trading & Execution, with a focus on enabling operational excellence and quality decision-making within the company’s commercial and execution teams. Due to the interconnected nature of the the company’s business and supporting IT applications, you will frequently collaborate with Business Analysts and other team members within the regional and global IT organization, and other business teams. As a Solution Specialist, you will develop considerable business process and functional expertise for the applications and activities within your Solution, in order to be able to work hand in hand with functional users and business owners. Your role will include very significant elements of business analysis, documentation and subject matter expertise, as well as elements of implementation coordination and project management. You will work closely with the Solution Manager (SM) to achieve the solution strategy defined by the SM in direct support of broader business objectives, covering a long-range delivery roadmap, innovation and enhancement pipeline, and continuous improvement efforts. As a Solution Specialist, you actively support the delivery of the Solution strategy in line with global Application Service Strategy while also meeting regional business needs. You may have day-to-day control of implementations within your Solution, covering system enhancements and integrations with applications in other Solution categories.
Act as a leader for your Solution within the Regional IT organization including but not limited to the following:

• Support the end-to-end management of your Solution area in collaboration with the SM, covering strategy and planning through to application support.

• Partners with business unit personnel at multiple locations to understand business needs and translate those needs into detailed business and functional requirements for project implementation.

• Collaborates with developers where needed to develop technical requirements and functional business specifications.

• Serve as an authority on functional and technical issues in designated applications and business areas in your area of solution specialization.

• Collaborates with and, as needed, leads cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives, change requests and meet timelines.

• Creates communication plans for project deployment; devises user manuals and training seminars.

• Collaborate with the SM to identify risks and road blocks to the successful completion of assigned projects and the overall solution strategy, and work with IT and Functional Management to resolve.

• Work with IT support team to coordinate the resolution of software issues and handle escalated service issues to maintain smooth ongoing operations of solution applications.

• No direct reports, but must collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal IT and Functional resources on a project basis.
Experience:
• 5+ years of strong technical or operational experience
• Experience in participating in a cross functional team in a matrix organization
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other business organizations and diverse groups of people

• Experience with functional and technical aspects of major enterprise business systems and related technologies
• Thorough understanding of planning, analysis, implementation, and testing techniques required to support medium-scale business operations systems
• Strong working knowledge / experience in functional business areas, such as finance, accounting, information technology or business operations

Ability to act in a consultative role to understand functional business processes and related information technology needs and to develop relevant solutions and delivery proposals
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities concurrently
• Demonstrated history of applying varied approaches to solve complex business support challenges of significance to the organization

• Advanced knowledge of standard business tools such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and Microsoft Visio
