Summary
The selected candidate will support the business development in the region through proposals, planning and possibly implementation of new trade flows through but not limited to creative logistics, strategic positions, off takes agreement and sustainability projects, allowing the extension of our commercial reach and sales growth for selected countries in Europe, major needs being for the French speaking markets.
Main Responsibilities

- Manage existing relationships with customers and develop relationships with new customers in order to help the Coffee platform increase its sales in French speaking markets, and potentially other countries in Europe or Global Key accounts.
- Grow LDC coffee volumes in line with Business plan, whilst improving the P/L and managing the risk of the desk.
- Oversee and coordinate execution of the transactions until fulfilment, control of possible demurrage, inventory management, invoice payments, risk exposure, quality control, from origin to final contracted terms. Guide the support functions to meet our contractual obligation while defending the best interest of the company and put in place innovative execution/logistic solutions within the region.
- Aid in Robusta and Arabica cash strategy development. Aid in price discovery, demand side data sourcing, analysis in both spot and destination pricing. Gather and feed the Coffee platform with local market information (supply, demand, prices, competition, trends).
- Lead efforts in the development of our sustainability strategy with the accounts managed.

- 3-4 years minimum of experience working in the Coffee industry.
- Experience working in a commodity trading company is a plus.
- Sales experience in the MEA region is required.
- Detailed Knowledge of coffee: Sensory, defects, Quality.
- Good understanding of coffee demand and coffee production dynamics.
- Good understanding of coffee price structure (differential, futures).
- Good understanding of supply chain and contract terms (incoterms, risks, and costings).
- Experience working in a commodity trading company is a plus.
