Summary
This is a supporting role to the CEO of Asia, to assist in the daily communication and delivery of presentations and strategic projects/business opportunities. The Business Assistant also acts as the connecting point of internal and external communications, consolidating relevant information according to business needs.
• Independent Research and Analytical work in the area of Business Development, Merger & Acquisition, and assistance in proposals
• Assisting in Project and Process Management (PPM)
• Producing executive summary for business meetings
• Planning and coordinating follow-up communications with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ad-hoc work assigned by CEO
• Core requirements:
- Good understanding of financial models, IRR and investment strategies;
- Acumen for business development strategies and merge/acquisitions opportunities
- Good knowledge of financial reports and financial reporting standards;
- For Bachelor’s Degree holders: minimum 3-5 years of work experience in relevant field(s)
- For Master’s Degree holders: minimum 2-3 years of work experience in relevant field(s)
- Experienced in managing communications with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge and experience in the agricultural commodity trading industry preferred
• Experience as management trainee will be an advantage
Technical/ Functional skills:

Good proficiency in
• Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
• Financial modelling systems


Other skills and competencies:

• Keen learner and open-minded
• Good communication and coordination skills with different personalities
• Meticulous and diligent
• Time-management skills a must, with good organization
• Personable & well spoken, good people-skills, willing to speak up
• Flexible and able to act quickly and appropriately to unexpected changes
• Willing to travel (expecting frequent business trips internationally)
• Design skills in presentation slides and methods an advantage

Problem solving skills:

• Analyzing and summary skills for information in great volume
• Consolidation and categorizing of important information from meetings
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Able to draw effective conclusions and/or proposals from past experiences

3+ years’ of college education, preferably in business, finance, economics, and/or management

Responsibilities
Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by his supervisor.
