Summary
This position sits in our Freight Platform and will offer the opportunity to join one of the major global drybulk freight operators, shipping 55 million tons of cargoes per year, concentrating integrated activities of chartering, trading and market analysis. This role requires efficient control and close liaison with other counterparties in remote locations.
The key tasks assigned include:

• Operate and be responsible for the end to end management and risk of operated vessels;
• Communicate and liaise with vessel owners/masters/charterers, trading team and other relevant stakeholders;
• Responsible for following up on post fixture activities / negotiating / settling claims / outstandings;
• Stowage Plan optimization, Hold Cleaning and Technical Knowledge;
• Bunkering Optimization ensure close collaboration with bunker desk to successfully manage bunker planning;
• Monitor, Manage and optimize vessel performance with assistance from 3rd party Routing providers;
• Managing Voyage Profit & Loss, understanding variances;
• Advanced comprehension of charter party contracts of assigned trade routes;
• Understanding of Legal risks, Bills of Lading, LOIs;
• Post voyage analysis and review;
• Manage assigned external relations with customers and / or vendors;
• Ensure and champion a close and harmonious working relationship with the relevant Commercial team;
• Collaborate effectively with other Freight Platform desks.
• Minimum 5 years as Operator of Time Charter dry bulk vessel;
• Minimum 3 years’ experience at Sea, preferably at a chief officer rank;
• Significant and demonstrated customer or supplier relationship skills;
• Macroeconomics including trade flows;
• Systems: Proficient in use if technology particularly Excel, Word, Shipping system (strong preference for IMOS);
• Sea-going experience desirable.
• Customer focused and relationship building with key accounts (Internal Customers and Ship owners);
• Accountability and strong sense of ownership, team play and collaboration;
• Enjoys working to tight time constraints;
• Personal drive and the ability to motivate others;
