Summary
Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), established in 1851, is a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods (also called commodity trading) with more than 17 000 employees worldwide. LDC reported In 2014, the Group started to rotate to Process harmonization, Global Organizations and especially Digitalization by opening a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Finance, IT and HR based in Lyon. Together with the CoE, the LDC Groups created a Global Finance Team, called FPSO (for Finance Processes Systems and Organization), which is reporting directly to the Group CFO and for which the aim is to: • Lead the Finance Transformation of the group • Digitalize LDC Processes and organizations • Help LDC to rotate to Finance best practices and best tools In 2018, the Group materialized its ambition by initiated a Global Finance Transformation and Digitilization of its Back Office operations (Accounting, Controlling, Reporting, Procurement). It consists into a: • Reshaping of accounting and controlling processes • The implementation of SAP S/4 HANA suite including Business Intelligence, ARIBA As of 2021, we are finalizing the implementation of 4 of the LDC countries (FR, DE,CH, Argentina) and are now starting US and China implementations. The FPSO team consist into an international team of experiences resources with strong expertise in there domain. They act as the keeper of the Group practices and solutions. They coordinate the different on-going project in the LDC world for their respective scope
The FPSO team is looking for a Business Process Owner (BPO) who would overlook the below processes:
- Accounting
- Controlling
- Integration with Consolidation
The BPO will be in charge of leading a team (e.g: an Accounting BPO, A Controlling BPO, …).

The typical activities of the Global BPO will be to support the current Finance Transformation group program by:
- For Live countries: enhance user experience and super the delivery of changes
- For Countries being implemented: coordinate the implementation of Group Processes into the country
- For Future country: scope and size implementation effort
Those activities will be handled together with the IT team, who is in charge of Developments and Configuration of SAP.

On top of his/her activities related to Global Finance Transformation, the BPO will help the group to switch to other transformation initiative (such as Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Block chain) by providing his/her functional expertise.
7 years minimum of strong operational experience ideally.

The successful candidate will have several or more of the below items:
- A Management Consulting experience from a Finance Consulting or Technology Consulting firm
- An active participation in Finance transformation project either as an internal (ex: AMOA, Functional Business Lead, Process Owner, …) or as an external resource
- Experience in Finance Transformation projects
- Experience in working in project mode, in managing a project
- Experience in international environments
- Experience in process design and implementation in an IT tool
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other business organizations; successful experience in working with diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment
- Fundamental understanding of core accounting and finance processes is required.
- Strong ability to gather & analyze information, define problems and form a plan of action.
- Evident ability to analyze and challenge workflows, being analytical and synthetic.
- Exceptional organizational ability with a very strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and take ownership of this role.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other business organizations; successful experience in working with diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under time pressure and result oriented.
