Summary
Overall Purpose and Objective of Position This position lends support to the analysis of US grains and oilseeds supply and demand.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
• Maintains US livestock balance sheets & distributes inventory & slaughter figures
regularly
• Updates minor oilseeds balance sheets with regularly released USDA trade data
• Assists with US grains and oilseeds supply and demand analysis for major crops
• Participates in annual crop acreage and yield tours as well as the analysis of
data that ensues
• Other ad-hoc research and analysis as assigned

Required qualification:
• 0-2 years of experience in agricultural commodity research/analysis

Preferred qualification:
• Prior experience in an agricultural commodity business
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)
Basic qualifications:
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers
• Ability to utilize data to anticipate and forecast future scenario outcomes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and Word, including the use of pivot tables.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• Ability to work independently
• Detail Oriented

Preferred qualification:
• Experience with Python and/or R at a basic level

Decision Making/Accountability
This position is primarily responsible for helping to ensure the reliability of US grains and oilseeds balance sheets, which controls estimates that are vital and drive significant hedge and risk taking decisions for the platform. Exercises judgment, within established parameters, to arrive at appropriate decisions and actions for the purpose of adding value to the Company.
• English (Fluent)
Basic qualification: • A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics/Business or other business related degree. Preferred qualification: • A Master’s degree or higher in Agriculture Economics/Business or other business related degree.
