SHANGHAI, CHINA, 5 November 2018<\/strong> \u2013 Louis Dreyfus Company (China) Trading Company Limited (LDC) will present its product portfolio and look to forge closer ties with its Chinese partners at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which opens today in Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods, LDC will showcase the products it imports into China at booth 8.2, Hall A9-03. The products include small-packaged, sustainable palm oil, soybeans used to produce refined edible oil and animal feed, as well as fruit juice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are pleased to participate in this first CIIE, which is a great opportunity to reinforce collaboration with our Chinese counterparts and to continue to expand our understanding of Chinese consumers. We aim to demonstrate to visitors our commitment to providing safe, reliable and sustainable products to Chinese customers,\u201d said James Zhou, Head of North Asia Region at Louis Dreyfus Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leveraging its global presence, LDC has supplied agricultural and food products to China for over 40 years. It is proud to have accompanied the country\u2019s growth into one of the most important markets in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCIIE is an excellent platform to express our gratitude for the opportunity to grow with China, and to confirm our long-term commitment to collaborating with our partners and the government,\u201d Zhou said. \u201cThe Chinese market offers huge potential to move closer to consumers, beyond a traditional B2B business, and CIIE is an excellent arena in which to increase our understanding of consumer needs\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on its strong record of partnerships in China, LDC also announced that it would sign several new agreements at CIIE with local partners, in areas including soybean and grain imports, and food supply and safety along the value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
