Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Enter all domestic purchase and sale contract data thoroughly and accurately
  • Produce and review formal contract and pricing documents to be distributed to contract counterparties
  • Execute contract receiving and delivery processes as it relates to the Cotton No. 2 Futures Contract
  • Create SOP’s to serve as training manuals for all processes
  • Cross train as back-up to Domestic Execution Coordinator with processes related to Procot Cooperative
  • Verify quality assurance (data-check) for incoming purchase invoices
  • Review open contract balances periodically to ensure accuracy of daily position and month end valuations
  • Test new development or system enhancements on behalf of the department to ensure requirements are met
  • Train on Merchant to Merchant sale processes
  • Train on fundamentals of price chart creation in relation to formal contract terms
  • Assist with documenting requirements and testing automation development for manual processes; provide suggestions for improvements to current processes
  • Perform all related responsibilities as required

Experience

Three years of experience in a contract related role; preferably in an agriculture related industry. 

    Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses

    Bachelor’s degree in business.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)

    • Experience in cotton or related industry with some general accounting.
    • Broad range of computer skills including functional and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint BI, OneNote, and SharePoint.
    • Must be able to work under pressure and complete all requirements in a timely manner.
    • Self-directed with a high sense of urgency and strong bias for action in a highly dynamic and demanding work environment.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize workloads and perform multiple tasks that might have conflicting priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail a must.  
    • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees as well as outside parties.  
    • Must possess strong mathematical skills.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Must maintain confidentiality of information received.
    • Personal honesty, competence and integrity in functional leadership in domestic execution processes, tools and techniques.
