Main Responsibilities:

Trade Support Role

  • Ensure Sales teams are aware of potential execution issues or execution issues and solutions that can be offered to clients, ability to discuss and explain situation to the clients and work out solutions
  • Develop good relationships with main Asian buyers and their logistics teams
  • Report and manage claim for assigned customers, aiding the discussion progress and ensuring timely responses.
  • Gain an understanding of contract costings and hence the impacts of contract adjustments
  • Provide backup on the Sale desk, to cover when the team is busy or off the desk – Be able to perform price fixations, convey interest to Sales team and Origins and eventually price the interest independent of sale terms.
  • Help to create Global sales data, execution and receivable report – collate information and help to develop a new format
  • Review customer relationship process and help highlight feasible improvements, given available resources
  • Aid on other day to day tasks as well as ad hoc projects as deemed suitable
  • Occasionally provide backup and cupping room – preparing table / reviewing qualities

Execution Account Management

  • Account Management responsibility of the full execution flow for a selection of key customers.
  • Direct relationship with assigned customers to ensure good fulfillment of contracts and service performance.
  • Coordinate the Back-office execution performed by the LDC India logistics Hub for the assigned customers.
  • Liaise with Traders, Freight, various Functions and LDC coffee origins for required support to the execution of the trade.
  • Coordinate with treasury, banks, and trade finance to assist on documentary collection process.
  • Identify potential problems and be the first escalation point to lead resolution efforts for the assigned customers.

 

Execution Supervision

  • Become an expert of the business execution flows and processes, including the operational transactions in the central ERP.
  • Supervise the open position for selected customers, including sample status, shipment instructions, booking confirmations, documentary presentations, collection and PnL impact.
  • Ensure compliance of the contract management policy and any other company and platform policies.
  • Provide extensive reporting support on execution status with customized excel reports.
  • Support the head of execution on the implementation of processes, procedure drafting and structuring related projects.

 

    Experience

    • Preferably 2 to 5 years in international trade operations or graduate with trainee experience.
    • Expertise in international commerce, import and export process and customs regulations
    • High proficiency skills in Microsoft Excel and database systems
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines under pressure
    • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
    • Good interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders.
    • Finance and accounting for non-specialists
    • Detail oriented with high attention to detail
    • Strong analytical skills

    Languages:

    • Chinese – Fluent (speaking, reading, writing)
    • English – Good (speaking, reading, writing)
    • Any other Asian language a plus

    Academics

    • Bachelor in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain or related fields
