Rotterdam<\/strong>, The Netherlands<\/strong>,November\n11, 2020 – Louis Dreyfus Company Holdings B.V. (LDCH) announced\ntoday that the Group has signed an agreement to sell an indirect 45% equity stake\nin Louis Dreyfus Company B.V. (LDC)<\/a> to ADQ, a large\nholding company based in Abu Dhabi. As part of this transaction,\nLDC has also signed a long-term commercial supply agreement with ADQ for the sale\nof agri-commodities to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe transaction announced\ntoday constitutes a milestone in a decade-long strategy envisioned by the Supervisory\nBoard, which started with the consolidation of LDC\u2019s parent company\u2019s\nshareholding<\/a>,\u201d said Margarita Louis-Dreyfus, Chairperson\nof the Supervisory Board of LDCH<\/a>. \u201cWe are delighted\nto welcome ADQ to our shareholder group as long-term partners and investors,\nwith a common vision for LDC\u2019s future, and experience that will bring further\nvalue to the business and support the Group\u2019s ambitions.<\/a>\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADQ\u2019s broad portfolio of major enterprises spans multiple\nsectors, among them food and agriculture. As part of its strategy for the\nsector, the company seeks to generate financial returns and strengthen the\neconomic cluster in the UAE.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon completion of the transaction,\na portion of the proceeds of the sale amounting to a minimum of US$800 million will\nbe invested into LDC to support the pursuit of the company\u2019s long-term business\nplan and strategy, including the acceleration of strategic investments.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
