Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is a global merchant and processor of agricultural goods. Our purpose is to create fair and sustainable value, for the benefit of current and future generations.

LDC opened its first site in South Africa in 1924, by establishing an office in Cape Town. Today, South Africa is the hub for LDC’s Southern, Eastern and Western Africa geographical cluster.

Our Activities

In South Africa, LDC is involved in domestic and international merchandizing and distribution of agricultural products such as maize, wheat, palm, soybeans and soybean meal – for import, export and domestic consumption.

Sustainability

Agriculture and food production are among the world’s most pressing challenges. LDC is committed to working toward a safe and sustainable future, helping to feed and clothe a growing global population sustainably.

Our People

Our strength as a company comes from our diverse, creative and forward-thinking workforce. We recognize and reward the talented people who demonstrate the initiative and innovation that drives our business forward.

At LDC, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in everything we do. We value the trust of our customers and suppliers, and all third parties with whom we engage on a legal and professional basis, and strive to ensure that they can engage safely and transparently with LDC.

Nevertheless, individuals not associated with LDC may attempt to trick third parties by using LDC’s name and trademarks on fake websites. Recently, LDC has been made aware of fake YouTube videos purporting to advertise LDC-approved investment schemes in the “Foods/Drinks” and “Welfare Products” sectors and, through the use of an ‘LDC Payment Platform’ shown as an ‘LDC Earning App’ in the fake videos, encouraging third parties to put money into the advertised scheme through a fraudulent website: “m.ldc-finance.ru”.

These scam videos and fake website are not issued, hosted or supported by LDC, and LDC has no involvement in any schemes advertising for third party investment in this manner.

To protect yourself, please remember the following:

1

2

Verification:
We encourage all third parties to verify the authenticity of anyone claiming to represent LDC. You can contact LDC directly to confirm the legitimacy of any communication you receive.

3

Financial Information:
LDC will never request financial details of any third party, outside the ordinary course of LDC’s business transactions with such parties. LDC will never unilaterally solicit third parties and encourage them to provide sensitive personal and financial information.

If something feels off, or seems too good to be true, trust your instincts and seek advice from trusted individuals.
