OBJECTIVE & STRUCTURE:
The objective is to help you develop a broad understanding of the company and its diverse activities, and to provide opportunities for you to build your network across a number of areas related to accounting activities of the company.
Through a combination of structured training and informal on-the-job learning, you will experience different areas of our business. You will be assigned various individual and group tasks, helping you build the skills and expertise you need for a diverse, challenging and exciting career at LDC.
The Graduate program at LDC is a 2-phase process:
Phase 1 - Build business experience and skills: Graduate Trainee for 12 months. During this phase, you will get the opportunity to gain experience across different roles within the LDC’s Accounting Department and you will receive training on related topics.
Phase 2 – Moving into a regular role
At the end of the first phase, if job performance is high and there is a business need, you will be offered a permanent role. Being a global company, we offer the opportunity to meet and work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds in a highly motivating environment.
Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of the Back Office Interim Manager, this role will provide support for back office operations across the EMEA region:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations, investigate any unmatched transactions, and resolve system errors affecting transaction allocations.
- Identify and correct discrepancies each day that impact bank balances within company systems.
- Ensure bank accounts are used appropriately, monitor and respond to anti-money laundering alerts and fraudulent activity.
- Track and review bank fees regularly.
- Monthly upload in our treasury systems of the bank statements for the accounts not connected via swift.
- Monthly closing, including booking manual adjustments.
- Follow up of corporate cards, direct debits, and ensure ongoing adherence to treasury policies and internal controls.
- Posting incoming invoices, travel expenses according to travel management policy
- Posting of fixed assets, accruals for subcontractors and missing invoices during month end close
- Reconciliation and maintenance of vendor and customer balances and master data
- Banks and Intercompany reconciliations
- Risk exposure reporting
- Resolve commercial transactions related queries
- Preparation of payment proposal and payment run
- Analysis of business performance
- Participate in the monthly closing and reporting process
