Supports the day-to-day operations of Tank Farm, vessel, and port logistics, perform administrative logistics tasks, evaluating transport options, and optimizing the movement and storage of goods. Assist schedule of shipments efficiently and logistics processes are continuously reviewed and improved.
Main responsibilities are:
- Execute administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, and cargo documentation.
- Provide transport options and determine the optimal number of trucks or containers needed for scheduled shipments.
- Gather and prepare cargo composition, storage, and distribution processes.
- Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Experience

1. Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or Statistics/Information Systems.
2. Work Experience & Domain Knowledge
1 to 3 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Port Operations—ideally within the Palm Oil (CPO/Refinery) or Oil & Gas industries.
Good understanding of maritime and shipping terms: You must know how Laytime, Demurrage, Bill of Lading (B/L), and Charter Parties work.
Basic tank farm knowledge: Familiarity with liquid storage concepts, such as tank sounding/ullage calculations, oil density variations based on temperature, and handling loss allowances.
3. Technical & Data Skills
Advanced Excel (Mandatory): Proficient in XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, nested IF statements, and Data Validation to build inventory dashboards and calculate laytime.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to look at operational logs and spot anomalies (e.g., identifying why the pumping flow rate at a specific jetty dropped by 15% this week).
4. Language & Communication
Fluent English (Written & Spoken): Crucial because you will communicate with foreign ship captains, international shipping agencies, and draft official reports in English.
