Building a Kindergarten Playground in Ukraine
In 2020, our team in Ukraine helped renovate the kindergarten playground in Zaytkivtsi, a village near one of LDC’s silos in Ukraine’s Vinnytsia region.
The kindergarten’s outdoor play equipment needed to be replaced and restored for the safety of the 35 children who attend the kindergarten daily. A new fence and improved lighting were also required.
On September 7, the school celebrated the re-opening of the playground, complying with applicable Covid-19 restrictions.
On behalf of the teachers, parents and children, the kindergarten director expressed her gratitude to the LDC volunteers who gave their time to create a more secure and comfortable play area where the youngsters can enjoy fresh air, exercise and have fun.
