We are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team in Wee Waa, NSW. This role is the responsible for day-to-day planning and scheduling of maintenance and repairs of our LDC cotton ginning production machinery and equipment to ensure the efficient, effective and safe operations. This position is critical for reducing unplanned downtimes, ensuring annual bale output targets are achieved, and ensuring all cotton ginning production machinery and equipment operate at capacity.

Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Develop an industry best practice maintenance program
  • Develop technical maintenance competency of Site Operator Maintainers
  • Create a maintenance plan for ginning machinery
  • Support cost control for Site Managers Maintenance Budget
  • Promote a safe working culture
  • Ongoing support for Maintenance Management System
  • Create plan for reducing downtime at Cotton Ginning Facilities
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis on major failures
  • Conduct analysis of repair data to improve operational performance
  • Support team members.
  • Provide training initiatives in consultation with EGM.
  • Provide strong safety culture within the team.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience in managing and maintaining a Maintenance Management System
  • Demonstrate expertise in working with remote teams.
  • Maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Developing a skilled and diverse group of personnel in a regional process/manufacturing industry 
  • Facilitative approach to implementing change
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sound leadership and management skills
  • High level of commitment to Safety
  • Develop and work within a budget
  • Work with capex and opex
  • Ability to identify health and safety risks within and engineering workshop
  • Compliance checks and reporting
  • Lead safety initiatives
  • Tertiary Qualification BEng, Mechanical or Electrical and/or relevant Trade Qualification with minimum 5 years Industry experience in a similar role.
  • Maintenance planning experience
  • Corrective breakdown analysis - RCA, FMEA
