- We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Data Scientist with a strong background in Meteorology and a preferred PhD in Atmospheric Science or a related field. The ideal candidate will not only have a passion for data analytics and modeling but will also enjoy interpreting large-scale weather patterns and teleconnections and will have proficiency in forecasting weather and understanding the patterns driving the expected weather pattern;
- Conduct research and data analysis on large meteorological datasets;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights;
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in meteorology, atmospheric science, and data science.
- Strong background in Meteorology;
- Proven experience in research and data analytics;
- Proficiency in Python and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
- Experience with modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Google Earth Engine is a plus, but not required.
- PhD in Atmospheric Science or related field.
