Overall responsibility:

Support the national sustainability manager in coordinating the implementation of LDC’s Coffee sustainability strategy in Vietnam that includes LDC Responsible Sourcing Program (RSP) and LDC’s Farmers Support Program called Stronger Coffee Initiative (SCI), with strong focus on executing the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework thatincludes LDC Responsible Sourcing Program (RSP) and LDC Stronger Coffee Initiative (SCI).

Key areas of responsibility:

  1. With the support of the national sustainability manager, lead the development of the sustainability operations aligned with the annual targets set for RSP and SCI
  2. Ensure effective coordination within the sustainability team located in 4 different regions, and between the sustainability team and other key internal departments (trading, execution, processing, warehouse as well as  external partners (auditors, SCI partners, certification organizations) to carry out RSP & SCI planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  3. Implement LDC Sustainability M&E system based on the M&E framework designed at global level. That includes but it is not restricted to the listed below tasks:
    1. Designing survey to collect data from farmers and supply chains’ intermediaries partnering with LDC on sustainability
    2. Planning and organizing data collection in coordination with LDC agronomists
    3. Conduct data quality control and statistical analysis.
    4. Maintaining and administrating the M&E database.
    5. Build up data system to facilitate the communication related to  LDC sustainability programs
    6. Producing report on M&E findings and prepare presentation based on M&E data as required
  4. Engage with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure the implementation of RSP & SCI is aligned with LDC global targets as well as external stakeholder’s expectations.
  5. Build capacity internally to implement with success LDC’s Vietnam RSP & SCI in coordination with the Agronomists team and other relevant departments as necessary.
  6. Report regularly to the national sustainability manager on sustainability strategy’s implementation.
  7. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the national sustainability manager
  8. Ensure all activities comply with relevant Group Code of Conducts, legal demands, and ethical standards 

Experience 

  • Minimum 2 experience years in an M&E position responsible for implementing M&E activities, in planning and managing surveys, familiar with the agri-industry (coffee preferred), 

Other skills (Computer Skills, etc) 

  • Good analytical skills 
  • Advanced in Excel, experience in developing and refining data collection tools is a plus  
  • Strong team player  
  • Good in communication skills and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines. 

Languages:  

  • Good spoken and written English communication skills. 

Academics 

  •  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental science, Economics, International Business or related fields.
