  • Prepare tax provision schedules, including deferred tax calculations and reconciliations.
  • preparation and filing of corporate and GST returns, payments, reports, and maintenance of the company’s tax database.
  • Manage the payment of weekly and monthly withholding taxes and submission of tax returns.
  • Provide tax advisory on withholding tax applications for all purchases of goods and services.
  • Monitor tax audits and inquiries, including preparing responses and providing necessary documentation.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial and operational data for tax calculations and reporting.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team.
  • Monitor and ensure the timely payment of tax liabilities.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to identify potential tax savings opportunities and ensure compliance.
  • Assist Tax Consultant in compliance with Tax Notices, such as FBR Audit and Monitoring of Withholding Tax.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Gather necessary data for tax provision and compliance purposes from finance and execution teams.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws, regulations, and rulings for accurate interpretation and application.
  • Implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors for expert advice on complex tax matters.
  • Provide tax-related guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including finance and operations teams.
  • Reconcile every transaction appearing in the General Ledger with that filed in sales tax and income tax returns.

 

Professional accounting degree such as ACCA /CA/CIMA Qualified OR MBA Finance

  • At least 3 years of expert level experience including 1-2 years in Big four.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Speaking and Writing both).
  • Proficient in Pakistan corporate tax compliance, Income Tax, and GST, with a robust technical foundation and practical experience.
  • Skilled in utilizing SAP for data extraction and reconciliation purposes.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel for complex data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience dealing with Tax consultants, lawyers, and Tax departments to resolve intricate tax matters.
  • Strong aptitude for analytical thinking and reconciliation processes.
  • Possess keen business acumen and a capacity for adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Capable of working efficiently under pressure and adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in all professional matters.
  • Flexible and open to adjusting work schedules to accommodate organizational needs.
