The HR Generalist is part of the local HR team looking after more than 300 employees based in Bulgaria. The HR Generalist reports to the HR Director for Bulgaria and acts as the main contact for employees on all their HR needs. S/he will partner closely with the rest of the HR team (Senior Payroll Specialist and HR Admistration) to provide high-quality HR support for all internal customers in a highly demanding and fast-paced environment.
The role’s purpose is to work very closely with the business, acting as partner with managers and team leads on a range of HR life cycle processes and projects. The HR Generalist works closely with the TA CoE, L&D CoE, HR Operations and other regional and local HR teams.
Main Responsibilities:
Performance Management:
- Responsible for performance review process for country organization
- Responsible for the objective setting process, monitors follow ups and quarterly check ins
- Delivers trainings to managers and employees on the performance management process and tool
- Leads the organization of the calibration process and follow up in the performance management tool (WD)
- Advises managers on performance improvement plans
Talent Management and Succession planning:
- Partners with managers to develop individual career plans and set development objectives
- Organizes and manages succession planning
Learning and development:
- Plans, designs and coordinates the execution of the country annual training plan
- Analyzes training and development needs, makes recommendations
- Liaises with providers and searches for the most efficient channels to maximize the value of L&D investments
- Responsible for administrative and logistical aspects of the training programs implementation
- Enhances development programs to support employees’ development – mentorship, coaching programs
International mobility:
- Coordinates relocation of international mobility cases to/from Bulgaria with the support of a global provider: organization /follow up of documents/visa, transfer of households goods moves, temporary housing, flight tickets etc.
- Coordinates the short term assignments
- Checks that all the process is smooth and the employee has great experience
- Supports projects in the area of employee engagement, employer branding and communication
- Manages the HR Calendar of engagement events, monitors and implements corrective actions as a follow up of People surveys
- Develops a good understanding of the business needs to support the internal clients adequately and bring HR value added service
- Collaborates with the other HR teams, CoEs, Global HR BPs to deliver value-added service to the management and employees that reflects the business objectives and strategies of the organization
- Coordinates or leads ad hoc HR projects, both local and regional, and participates in applying any resulting change
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Experience
Experience |
Knowledge and Experience:
- 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience
- Successful track record in HR life cycle processes and projects like payroll, compensation & benefits, performance review, talent development, employee relations, international mobility etc.
- Knowledge of the Bulgarian Labour Law
- Experience in global organization, with proven business consulting approach and ability to develop successful relationships across the organization
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bulgarian
- Open to change and to continually learn and grow
- Team player, enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude
- Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
Education:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Human Resources or related fields.
Languages:
- Bulgarian - Fluent
- English – Fluent
