In December 2024 Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) signed a binding agreement to purchase BASF’s Food and Health Performance Ingredients business including the acquisition of the Illertissen production site in Germany.  

The dedicated team of approximately 300 employees from BASF will join LDC and remain committed to delivering high-quality products and ensuring a promising future for the site and its stakeholders. They will drive new advancements and deliver high-quality products to meet evolving consumer demand and contribute to LDC's sector growth strategies.  

Our Shared Business Service office in Sofia, Bulgaria will support Finance, Procurement and Customer Services activities for this new production facility; be part of this exciting challenge within LDC Bulgaria. 

The SBS Commercial Service Line function provides operational support for the Domestic & International Supply chain. The scope of this function includes trade & contract control, delivery data document management, invoice & cash management and master data support. 

This position supports a new business and involves significant interaction in German. The right candidate will be required to spend significant time on-site in Germany in the initial 4-8 weeks. 

Main responsibilities:

As SBS Commodity Mgt Operations Analyst, you will collaborate with a wide group of Supply Chain, Trading, Accounting and Treasury Professionals and the Business. Your main missions will be to: 

Contract management:

  • Daily trade completeness and coherence check
  • Daily contract document reception monitoring / issuing
  • Daily contract signature follow-up
  • Contract metrics measurement and reporting

Delivery data documentation administration:

  • Collection of delivery related documents for FCA shipments
  • Delivery metrics measurement and reporting

Invoicing & cash management:

  • Preparation, reconciliation and issuance of sales invoice
  • Review, reconciliation and issuance of credit / debit notes (claims, interest for late payment)
  • Cash receipt status monitoring
  • Cash collection management (contact customers, document interactions and follow up actions)

Master data management:

  • Collect & verify mandatory documents for Counterparty and Bank account creations and updates
  • Request Counterparty, Bank account and Material creation / update in the global master data tool
  • Follow up timely creation with the global master data team

 

    Experience and Technical Skills:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Management or a related discipline
    • Professional experience (minimum 3 years) in Accounting or Logistics within an international trading environment  
    • Excel proficiency and ability to adapt to new IT systems

    Languages:

    • English – fluent verbal and written level
    • German – fluent verbal and written level 

    Soft Skills:

    • Self-starter with ability to work independently and to take initiatives 
    • Attention to details 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Focusing process enhancement (VBA, Power platform and RPA knowledge) will be an advantage
    • Team player 
    English and German

    • Ability to extract, organize, analyze and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant to control business
    • Ability to understand and act following process and procedures in an accurate and timely matter
    • Ability to work with strict daily deadlines
