Main accountabilities:

  • Management of the day-to-day activities of the execution team in Senegal.
  • Manage the activities of the execution team members.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting locally, regionally and across platform.
  • Manage documentation and execution of contracts for imports, exports, and local operations.
  • Put together all documents related to the different imported vessels and monitor customs declarations.
  • Monitor import costs and update the matrix.
  • Manage contract files to ensure all transactions are documented and files are closed on time.
  • Ensure that contract terms are executed taking care that all risk assessments are carried and liaise with traders to preempt problems that may arise out of special or unusual contract conditions.
  • Ensure contracts are signed within thirty days of issue.
  • Nominate transit operator and demand import documentations. Handle all transit related issues including the management of inventory with transit operator.
  • Set up and follow up of transit and customer boards.
  • Manage local commercial suppliers.
  • Manage storage spaces and physical inventories.
  • Be a physical intermediary between LDCSRICE and Customers.
  • Supervise the monitoring of customers credit limits and payments.
  • Handle insurance management with Eyssautier and other insurances.
  • Liaison with clients and Trading desk
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicator records and publish regularly including Exposure reports, Risk reports, demurrage and dispatch reports, stock reports and any other reports that may be from time to time required.
  • Maintain detailed procedures for execution of all commodities.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with IT, HR, SHE and finance requirements and systems.
  • Supervise ATLAS bookings made by execution team.

Knowledge and Experience:

Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in an execution, shipping, logistics and supply chain position, ideally in the Agricultural sector and at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Knowledge:

  • Ability to manage a certain level of complexity and good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a team.
  • Analytical mindset, at ease with numbers and proven negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the customs related laws in Senegal.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural and cross-functional team.
  • Flexibility, ability to cope with fast-paced changes within a growing company.

Education:

  • University degree or masters in purchasing and supply, logistics, business administration or any related field.

Languages:

  • Fluent in French and English would be a plus.

Systems:

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office and ATLAS
