Join our dynamic Coffee platform team, supporting the EMEA region, where you'll lead strategic financial analysis and planning to drive business performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence key decisions through data-driven insights and collaborative leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Analysis & Management

  • Conduct comprehensive economic analyses including competitive trends, pricing strategies, cash flow, product line performance, and capital investments.
  • Provide financial counsel on matters with significant business impact.
  • Develop long-range budgets and forecasting models to support strategic planning and capital allocation.
  • Lead special projects such as evaluating acquisitions/divestitures, assessing internal operational efficiency, and analyzing product performance.

Financial Oversight & Control

  • Oversee core financial management and control processes across the EMEA Coffee platform.
  • Monitor financial closing activities and proactively identify risks and opportunities in line with company guidelines.
  • Facilitate monthly regional performance reviews, covering revenue, returns (risk, economic, financial), and resource utilization (overheads, capital usage).
  • Evaluate capital allocation and recommend improvements in collaboration with commercial, execution, trade finance, and treasury teams.
  • Forecast cash flow deviations and co-develop mitigation plans with commercial teams.
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration to enhance decision-making and ensure robust financial controls are in place to safeguard company assets.

Business Planning & Performance Forecasting

  • Partner with country teams during annual planning and budgeting cycles, ensuring alignment with regional and platform strategies.
  • Analyze and explain variances between forecasts and actuals,and support corrective action planning.
  • Contribute to investment evaluations and assist in preparing materials for executive review committees.
  • Deliver actionable insights and tools to commercial and logistics teams to enhance profitability.
  • Support New Business Approvals (NBA) by reviewing financial viability and facilitating cross-functional alignment.

Advisory & Process Improvement

  • Provide expert guidance on financial policies, resolving complex queries, and enabling informed decision-making.
  • Recommend and help design new systems and processes that meet professional and operational standards.
  • Act as a financial subject matter expert for platform-wide initiatives, system rollouts, and cross-functional projects.
  • Identify and address internal control gaps, ensuring resolution and knowledge sharing across the region.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement across teams.

    Languages

    • Fluent in English
    • French is a plus    

      Qualifications & Experience

       

      • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial roles
      • Experience in commodities is advantageous; familiarity with the coffee industry is highly valued.
      • Proven ability to navigate complex matrix organizations and lead cross-functional initiatives.
      • Track record of contributing to IT implementations and business transformation projects.

      Education

      • Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field
