About the role
We are currently searching for a Cotton Purchasing Officer to join our team in Toowoomba. This is a permanent full time position reporting Trade Operations Manager. The role supports the administrative duties of our cotton business and is fundamental to the smooth running and efficiency of the team.
Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Check the accuracy of all paperwork received from the origination staff.
- Ensure that special contract conditions are met (i.e., discounts for later delivery & correct delivery points etc.)
- Validate and enter all data ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Enter Bale Purchase Forms and Amendments for purchase contracts.
- Ensure the correct payment terms are on the contract
- Assist Accounts team with any queries regarding payments
- Report daily purchases and contract adjustments and circulate.
- End of month purchase adjustments.
- Management the creation and amendments for client accounts in relevant systems in a timely manner
- Manage the Grower Survey process
- Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation and reporting of contracts.

- Knowledge of and have previous experience in the cotton industry
- Sound understanding gin/valley delivery points.
