About the role
The Louis Dreyfus Company is currently recruiting for the full-time position of Assistant Ginner, based in Moree. In this role you will be part of a small team and be involved in all aspects of cotton ginning operations including but not limited to:
- monitoring production flow
- maintaining machinery and equipment including preventative maintenance and breakdowns
- supervising a team of seasonal workers during day or night shift
- ensuring safe systems of work and sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision is provided for optimal health and safety
Your experience
- cotton ginning experience preferred
- mechanically minded or experience in a maintenance/production environment
- safety-aware with fitness to handle long shifts during the season
- good work ethic and team player
- ability and willingness to interact effectively with all employees from many different cultures
- sound computer skills
