Are you a payroll professional with a passion for precision and a knack for navigating complex systems? Louis Dreyfus Company is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in Abbotsford. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a global leader in agricultural goods while working in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
About the Role
As our Payroll Specialist, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, data management, employment cost reporting, and supporting HR operations. You’ll work closely with Finance and HR teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all payroll-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll for employees under Awards, EBAs, and individual contracts.
Manage casual timesheets, superannuation, payroll tax, and salary packaging.
Maintain payroll systems and vendor relationships.
Prepare monthly reports (leave, headcount, general ledger, payroll tax).
Conduct EOFY reconciliations and reporting (including SRO and WGEA).
Manage employee data and compensation in Workday.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual salary reviews.
Administer employee benefits and programs.
Provide HR support including compliance with Right to Work legislation and WorkCover claims.
Experience

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
Strong understanding of Awards, EBAs, and current payroll legislation.
Experience with Preceda, EmpLive, Workday, Humanforce.
Experience with HR cost analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or HR (or equivalent experience).
Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
