The Louis Dreyfus Company Internship Program 2025 is a six-month program that provides students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commodity trading industry. The program is designed to equip interns with foundational knowledge and professional skills in one of the company’s business platforms.

As a Coffee Intern, you will be introduced to and become an integral part of our Coffee team. You will work with experienced professionals in Coffee team and interact with colleagues to gain insight into the commodity industry. You will be given the opportunity to collaborate with Asia heads (Coffee, Operations, Marketing, Sustainability, Analysis) to develop your own sense of the working environment in the business platform.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Research

  • Help to structure and organize research data – balance sheets, other secondary datasets. Gain insights from and analyze large datasets
  • Help with automation of tasks and reports
  • Prepare BI dashboards
  • Analyse coffee consumption and growth in Asia

Sustainability

  • Assist in structuring and organizing sustainability-related data, including farm/farmer details, coffee traceability, and compliance records
  • Support the creation of data visualization dashboards in Power BI to streamline monthly reporting on sustainability activities, particularly those related to Responsible Sourcing and Stronger Coffee Initiative (SCI) (LDC’s Farmer Support Program focusing on Farmer Prosperity, Low Carbon, and Regenerative Agriculture)
  • Develop a regional map of sustainability partners and solutions to support the expansion of LDC's Coffee Sustainability Strategy across Asia
  • Assist in developing modelling tools that support country teams in defining SCI strategies and interventions, aimed at maximizing positive environmental and economic impacts for farmers

Requirements:

  • Degree/Master studies
  • Must possess the skills & knowledge of Python/R and SQL
  • MS Office, Excel
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle conditions of uncertainty
