Based in Istanbul, this role will support LDC’s Green and Soluble Coffee commercial strategy across the MENA region (Middle East & North Africa), with a strong focus on Turkey, the Middle East, and potential coverage of Central Asia. The position combines sales development, market expansion, execution excellence, and strategic insight to strengthen LDC’s footprint and deliver sustainable value.
The selected candidate will report to the Coffee Destination Trader responsible for the region, also based in Istanbul
Based in vibrant Istanbul, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape LDC’s Green and Soluble Coffee strategy across the MENA region, with a strong focus on Turkey, the Middle East, and potential expansion into Central Asia.
You will be at the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic coffee markets—leading commercial development, opening new frontiers, and driving execution excellence. This is a position for someone who wants to make a real impact: strengthening LDC’s regional footprint, building long‑term partnerships, and contributing to the global coffee platform through market intelligence and strategic insights.
You will work closely with, and report to, the Coffee Destination Trader leading the region, also based in Istanbul—ensuring proximity, collaboration, and strong local support.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential
Sales & Strategic Development
- Execute LDC’s global coffee sales strategy for both Green and Soluble Coffee across the assigned region.
- Develop new customer accounts and nurture long‑term, strategic partnerships with existing clients.
- Support business development initiatives, including new trade flows, strategic positions, off‑take agreements, and sustainability-focused solutions.
- Promote LDC’s products, capabilities, and value proposition to key customers, ensuring strong engagement and trust.
Commercial Development
- Assess regional market needs and provide commercial solutions to your clients needs.
- Manage day‑to‑day customer relationships and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up to date spot inventory as well as any commercial records and reports that will be needed to support commercial decisions.
Execution
- Coordinate end‑to‑end execution of all trades, including sampling, logistics, inventory management, invoicing, exposure tracking, quality controls and claims from origin to destination.
- Implement creative and cost‑efficient logistics solutions to enhance service quality.
- Collaborate closely with traders, execution teams, origin offices, customs brokers, 3rd party warehouses, freight providers, and support functions to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Market Intelligence
- Gather, analyze, and disseminate market intelligence on supply, demand, pricing, competition, and emerging trends within the region.
- Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for both regional and global trading teams.

The following is the required qualification:
- Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, or Commodity Trading.
- Fluent English and Turkish are essential. Knowledge of Arabic or Russian will be considered a significant asset.
The following are the basic qualifications:
- Interest in international logistics, trade or commodities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload under pressure.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
