                | Job Description | 
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Maintains and repairs the control and instrumentation systems, including level transmitters, switches, probes, temperature transmitters and associated wiring, hazard monitoring systems, 24 V DC and 4/20 ma analog instrumentation circuits.
 - Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all electrical systems and components in the facility.
 - Responsible for the repair of the electrical systems include, but are not limited to, variable speed drives, motors and motor control equipment, PLC and related equipment and power distribution equipment and turbines.
 - Performs pneumatic troubleshooting, including but not limited to: calculating ranges and set points for switches, transmitters, indicators, recorder and controllers.
 - Install conduit, wiring, panels, controls and other electrical components for machines and equipment.
 - Install and maintain light fixtures and related equipment.
 - Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
 
Mechanical
- Maintains and repairs operating equipment, including removal, installation, rebuilding, lubrication and cleaning of all equipment associated with the production process.
 - Maintains the materials and parts that he/she uses for repairs and fabrication in the Maintenance Shop.
 - Maintains the equipment he/she uses for repairs and fabrication in the Maintenance Shop.
 - Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on equipment, plans for, and takes corrective action.
 
Other
- Works with plant operations to accomplish all tasks in a timely and safe manner.
 - Notifies Maintenance Supervisors of any production, maintenance or safety problems.
 - Knows, observes and enforces all Standard Operating Procedures, safety procedures and rules, environmental practices and GMP guidelines.
 - Makes the necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
 - Maintains thorough knowledge of all related equipment and attends training classes when available.
 - Supports plant management efforts for improving production efficiencies with electrical and mechanical resources.
 - Applies root cause analysis theory and corrective action steps for continuous improvement.
 - Completes all required safety training and complies with all safety policies.
 - Follows all department procedural policies and participates in team concept approach.
 - Notifies supervisor and production management of product quality issues and shuts down equipment if product quality is out of specification.
 - Performs maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with quality and GMP requirements; always adheres to all equipment safety, quality, and GMP requirements.
 - Completes work orders on all work performed. Enters actual time, parts, or material used onto each work order i n respective systems..
 - Performs preventative maintenance tasks for equipment and facility in accordance with manufacturer's and/or engineering guidelines.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION (Maintenance – E&I Technician)
- Coordinates all PMs with manufacturing, quality control, and management.
 - Provide assistance to other maintenance employees as able and assigned
 - Assist in the completion of capital and maintenance projects as able and assigned.
 - Look for opportunities to help work get done safer, faster and more cost effective.
 - Participate in company activities such as; Safety Committee, Audit committees, employee task forces, etc., when requested.
 - Experience with installation of piping systems, pipefittings, and welding.
 - Perform maintenance tasks on all the equipment own, leased, and operated by LDC including being cross trained to assist in repairs on the packaging machines, packaging conveyors, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and the sugar feed systems, which includes screw conveyors, bucket elevators, drag conveyors, dense phase systems, airlocks, and etc.
 - Required to work during the shutdown time to complete work orders.
 
- When necessary, uses catwalks and/or ladders to clear any choke-ups from conveyors that cause the production line to stop.
 - Works assigned overtime as needed.
 - Follows LOTO procedures at all times.
