In 1993, our regional Singapore headquarters opened, which now serves as our regional hub for origination and merchandizing activities spanning across 9 platforms - Grains and Oilseeds, Juice, Freight, Global Markets, Food and Feed Solutions, Rice, Coffee, Cotton and Sugar across 9 countries Singapore, Australia, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan Malaysia, Thailand and Bangladesh. 

The 18 months trainee program aims to provide a fast track for high-potential individuals to run operational positions within LDC Vietnam. It offers excellent career and development opportunities for the successful candidates.

The selected candidate will be given an extensive training program in Vietnam on production operations aspects. The training will be on the job and involve the management of complete origin operations, including Processing, Logistics, Warehousing, and Quality control. After completing the training the successful applicant will perform operational roles in a position for the Green Coffee platform in Vietnam

Scope of work:

  • Seek knowledge and its practical application in the Company, oriented to the evolution of your career;
  • Seek information for your vision of the Louis Dreyfus business, considering the processes and market in which it operates.
  • Participate in the activities of the company's areas;
  • Meeting the Program's schedule (rotations, evaluations, training, tutoring meetings);
  • Seek feedback from the manager about their personal and professional performance;
  • Participate as a member of the Management System;
  • Participate in the SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) Toolbox;
  • Work in accordance with the Company's Policies and Standards, meeting the determinations of the SHE Management System, Local and Divisional Procedures and carrying out safety inspections in the sector itself, in order to avoid the occurrence of accidents.
  • Comply with the provisions of the Food Quality and Safety policy.
  • Comply with the Food Safety Management System.
  • Comply with the provisions of the Food Safety Management System documents.
  • Comply with the provisions of the emergency plan and participate in simulations.
  • Comply with good hygiene practices.
  • Execute the programs of order and cleaning of the area.
  • Comply with CCP monitoring.
  • University degree preferably Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural, Chemical, Electric, or International university.
  • International experience (training or work) is a plus

Other skills 

  • Strong analytical mind, willingness to learn and work in a production/ process environment in flexible shift timings
  • Good communication and Excel data analysis skills
  • Adaptability to challenging situations, open to be a part of the team
  • Willingness to travel and relocate within Vietnam often in upcountry locations
  • Hands-on knowledge of typical Microsoft office software (incl. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be organized, thorough, focused and detail oriented
  • A self-starter with good self-initiative
  • Curious and eager to learn.

Languages  

  • English is required (both spoken and written) as well as Fluent Vietnamese.
