The role:
We are seeking a dynamic professional to take on a unique hybrid role that bridges EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) operational excellence with global QMS standards development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute both regionally for EMEA region, and globally, shaping Quality & Food Safety (QFS) standards within the Food and Feed Solutions (FFS) Platform.
LDC Food & Feed Solutions Platform is focused on developing and growing LDC’s presence in the ingredients space, through integrated processing of value-added products and solutions.
The future Quality and Food Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining product safety, and adherence to global standards.
Among other tasks, the individual ensures end to End Operational Compliance of Products manufacture for the FFS EMEA Quality; actively contributes to the implementation of FFS Standards at Global level and within other LDC platforms that produce Food Ingredients for the FFS Global Quality; interacts with Quality Managers, Laboratory Managers of Grains & Oilseeds Platform, FFS Commercial Teams...
Your missions:
- Overall
- Act as the QFS lead and subject matter expert for LDC FFS in EMEA.
- Oversee Co-Manufacturers Compliance by conduction regular Performance Review and Audits.
- Bring expertise to regional FFS teams and support the overall development of the global QFS organization.
- Global lead for QFS KPI coordination, key contributor to Global QMS and tools deployment.
- Customer Centricity
- Work closely with the commercial team to understand customer current and future needs, specifications, or concerns, and represent LDC FFS as the QFS lead in customer qualification discussions.
- Assist Grains and Oils QFS teams with customer audits and remediation plans.
- Work with global QFS leads to standardize all technical documentation to ensure customers receive common and standardized information.
- Procedures & Governance
- Lead the adoption of standards and continuous improvement in the areas of QFS for FFS in EMEA, and contribute to improving global standards for LDC overall
- Establish goals and identify KPIs to support the execution of a QFS improvement strategy for the business
- Work with internal and external QFS teams to design, implement and review HACCP programs. Support the building of a risk assessment plan in correspondence to applicable QFS Certification Schemes: FSSC 22 0000, Halal, Kosher, GMP+, non GMO when applicable. Identify risks in our current QFS systems and work on remediation plan.
- Develop internal guidelines to import food grade products in EMEA Region.
- Contribute to implement and standardize all documentation required to support the development of the LDC Food and Feed Solution Products Portfolio

Your profile:
- 10+ years combined experience with food & ingredients quality and manufacturing.
- Expert understanding of Quality Systems, Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Food Regulations
- Food industry and food manufacturing experience required within Food Ingredient Business to Business.
- Working knowledge of Food Regulation in Europe (mandatory) and U.S. FDA standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong knowledge and experience performing audits of food & feed safety and quality management systems, FSMA requirements, GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and ISO standards. Feed safety in form of GMP+, FAMI QS and/or EFISC.
Required softskills:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret quality and food safety audit and test results and define and communicate corrective actions as needed.
- Experience in managing operational stakeholders (working with production, logistic, suppliers...)
- Ability to work cross-functionally within organization
- Excellent communication / presentation skills
- Detail oriented
- Able to quickly learn new systems, tools, and programs
- English language fluency required
- Knowledge of German language is a strong plus
