Louis Dreyfus Company is a leading merchant and processor of agricultural goods. This role is critical for managing domestic dispatch operations from the Koppa coffee mill unit during peak season, ensuring smooth coordination of outgoing trucks, accurate documentation, and proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders. The position addresses increased operational complexity and volume, compliance requirements, and customer service expectations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor dispatch of coffee trucks from the mill unit as per daily dispatch plan. 

  • Ensure compliance with storage norms and SKU conversions (30 Kg, 50 Kg, 60 Kg, 75 Kg, 1 MT). 

  • Coordinate packing material requirements (PP bags, Gunny bags, Jute bags) and grade conversions. 

  • Prepare and verify invoices and dispatch documentation, including manual entry of critical details (Invoice No., Vehicle No., FSSAI No., PO No., Ship-to/Bill-to). 

  • Confirm payment receipt before invoice creation and handle CN/DN for discrepancies. 

  • Liaise with customers for vehicle placement under EX-Works terms and coordinate vendor QC verification. 

  • Issue Delivery Orders for stock transfers and coordinate with transporters and 3PL warehouses. 

  • Monitor and document dispatch processes, including settlement of weight discrepancies and penalties. 

  • Upload dispatch data into internal systems and maintain accurate MIS for financial reconciliation. 

  • Communicate with transporters and drivers to resolve on-ground issues during dispatch. 

  • Support audit and reporting requirements related to dispatch operations. 

 

  • Experience - 5 Years.
  • Prior experience in dispatch/logistics operations, preferably in agri-commodities or FMCG. 

  • Familiarity with coffee grades and packaging standards is a plus. 

  • Experience in coordinating with transporters, vendors, and customers. 

Other Skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and dispatch tracking tools. 

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. 

  • Effective communicator with problem-solving abilities. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple dispatches simultaneously.

 

Languages 

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Kannada will be preferable  

 

Academics 

  • Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field. 

  • Diploma or certification in Logistics/Supply Chain preferred
