Asia Business development & instant coffee marketing strategy:

  • In line with the global instant coffee strategy, involving in developing marketing strategy for Asia Region including demand mapping, segmentation and setting long-term objectives
  • Identify opportunities beyond current marketing perimeter i.e., value added finished products, tolling etc.
  • Market intelligence: hold ownership of research data and gather market information on competition, prices, supply, demand, trends to improve information quality for strategy decisions
  • Develop good understanding of S&D and relay key information to the Group

Customer and sales management:

  • Formulating Sales plans, marketing budgets and forecasts
  • Responsible for LDC Instant Coffee Sales & Trading volume regionally
  • Develop effective marketing tools to reach new accounts and managing relationships with key buyers regionally which includes pricing, negotiation and concluding contracts
  • Maintain close communication and interaction with green coffee marketing teams to leverage on existing customer relationships
  • Involve in the management of sale & purchase transactions with oversight and coordination of execution until fulfilment: i.e., inventory management, invoice payments, risk exposure, quality control

Support and Internal Processes:

  • Close collaboration with global commercial team to ensure consistency across regions and knowledge sharing
  • Due to geographical proximity, support global customers’ visits to LDC plant
  • Build close relationship with plant management and develop strong knowledge of the production asset
  • Involve in IT innovation, development of new tools for the purpose of improving processes, competency for the group

Experience (including number of years):

  • 3-4 years of similar experience in a similar role, if not coffee at least food & beverage industry
  • Solid experience in Sales & marketing management preferably with track records in the instant coffee market
  • Good understanding of position and risk management
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurship and adaptable to changing and dynamic business environment
  • Experience in food ingredients industry a plus

Knowledge: Instant coffee sales and B2B marketing (at least food & beverage industry knowledge)

Education: University degree  

Languages:

  • Fluent in English
  • Working knowledge of Chinese and/or Japanese would be a strong plus

Systems: Knowledge of common business software tools (Microsoft office, Power BI…)

Technical/ Functional skills:

  • Instant coffee knowledge preferred
  • Customer Management and negotiation skills / contacts within the instant coffee industry 
  • Knowledge of common business software tools (Microsoft office, Power BI…)

Other skills and competencies:

  • Strong sense of business acumen
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptive to change, ability to work under pressure
  • Teamwork, ability to work in a diversity environment and cross-functional team
