For the second time, LDC has ranked on FORTUNE Magazine’s list of the World’s Most Admired Companies, as part of the Food Production category.
The annual survey that produces the ranking consults industry analysts and top executives and directors from Fortune 1000, Global 500 and other major non-US companies, to identify the companies with the strongest reputation across several attributes: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, long-term investment, financial soundness, quality of products and services and global competitiveness.
“This year marks 170 years since LDC’s journey began, starting with a single sale of grain and growing into our global operations today – sourcing, transforming, transporting and delivering agricultural goods all over the world. After a particularly challenging 2020, and on the occasion of a historical milestone for our Group in 2021, we are especially proud to rank on FORTUNE’s list once again – a recognition that goes to our people, whose expertise and hard work have positioned us at the helm of our industry,” said our Group CEO, Michael Gelchie.
LDC ranked 4th in the Food Production category, with good scores for people management and use of corporate assets in particular.
The World’s Most Admired Companies list is considered a definitive report card on corporate reputation, produced annually since 1997 in collaboration with Korn Ferry to identify, select and rank the companies whose business practices make them highly regarded leaders in their industries.
As a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods, LDC continually strives to realize its vision to contribute to the global effort of providing sustenance for a growing population, guided by a shared purpose to create fair and sustainable value for current and future generations.
In a rapidly changing world and dynamic industry, LDC is proud to be recognized for this work by featuring on FORTUNE’s list of the World’s Most Admired Companies.
