World’s Most Admired Companies 2019

January 23, 2019

LDC has been named one of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” for 2019 by FORTUNE Magazine, making this highly-regarded annual ranking of corporate reputation for the first time.

We are among five companies ranked in the Food Production category and the only privately-owned company among them.

“This is a great acknowledgement of our relentless efforts to deliver fair and sustainable value to suppliers, customers, partners and wider communities around the world”, commented Ian McIntosh, Group CEO. “It’s also an inspiration to continue our quest for sustainable solutions to feeding a growing population, with the conviction that we have the right strategy, the right values, and above all the right people.”

FORTUNE partnered with the global management consulting firm Korn Kerry to determine the best-regarded companies in 52 industries. This year’s ranking evaluated the corporate reputation and performance of 680 high-revenue companies in 30 countries. Executives, directors and analysts rated companies in their industry on nine key attributes: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed. The full list is available at Fortune.com.

In recent months, LDC also ranked among Brazil’s 150 best companies to work for by Voce S/A & the Institute of Management Foundation and was named the Highly Commended Winner at the 2018 Adam Smith Awards Asia.
