LDC in Belgium

Centrally located in Europe, Belgium is a strategic hub for the regional and global distribution of agricultural goods, and a key market for LDC’s Juice business

Our Operations

After processing fruit at our facilities in Brazil, we transport the juice to our terminal in Santos for export. From there it sails on our own fleet of chartered ocean vessels to our terminal in Ghent, Belgium, for distribution to customers in Europe and beyond.

We are upgrading our global fleet with two ocean vessels dedicated to juice, each capable of carrying  approximately 25,000 MT, and both with temperature-controlled tanks to keep large volumes of juice in optimal conditions.

Upon arrival in Belgium, juice is stored in temperature-controlled silos at our storage facilities, which are among the largest in the world and capable of handling both frozen concentrate orange juice (FCOJ) and not from concentrate (NFC) orange juice in bulk and drums.

Our Ghent terminal employs more than 35 people, including local quality assurance and safety, health and environment (SHE) teams who ensure strict adherence to all applicable regulations and safety standards, including for ISO certification.
