Nathanael enjoys the balancing act that are his two roles at LDC, dividing his time between marketing palm oil into Southern Africa on the one hand, and coordinating risk management and commercial activities for EPKO, LDC’s sunflower seed crushing plant joint venture in Lichtenburg, South Africa.
The complexity of his dual role challenges Nathanael’s time management and decision-making skills, built up since he joined LDC after university, as one of our graduate trainees, attracted by the fast-paced world of commodities trading and the company’s commitment to promoting young talents.
Now a senior trader, Nathanael appreciates both the camaraderie among LDC employees, and the flat organizational structure that makes senior management approachable. But most of all, he values the integrity that forms the backbone of LDC’s business culture, and its dynamic nature that creates both challenges and opportunities.
“Being part of an organization with a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach to doing business, makes me proud to work for LDC.”
