Supporting Hospitals to Combat Covid-19 in Brazil
Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, LDC employees around the world have mobilized resources and devoted their time to supporting vulnerable communities affected by the virus.
In June 2020, as part of this effort, our colleagues in Brazil launched a donation campaign to support the initiatives of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in combating the new coronavirus.
The campaign ended in August, after raising more than R$22,000 (US$4,000) from donations by LDC colleagues, their families and friends.
Instead of doubling that amount as originally planned, LDC went further and donated R$500,000 (US$90,000), to be divided among hospitals located close to our operations in Brazil.
