The complex enhances integration and synergies between Inputs and Cotton operations.
Rondonópolis (MT), Brazil, February 25, 2026 – Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods, inaugurated today its logistics hub in Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso State – a new complex designed to integrate the company’s Inputs and Cotton operations. The investment is aligned with LDC’s global strategy to strengthen its merchandising activities and expand its presence in key markets while promoting logistical synergy across business lines and offering more complete solutions for supply chain partners.
Strategically located near the railway network, the new hub was built to maximize customer experience by connecting supply and demand through more efficient product logistics and distribution. In practice, for example, producers can deliver cotton and pick up fertilizer suppliers at the same time – including through barter modalities – thereby optimizing transportation and reducing related carbon emissions per ton of product handled.
The complex features a high level of automation and includes a modern mixer with static storage capacity of more than 100,000 tons of fertilizers, which are handled using elevators, with dumpers and conveyor belts throughout the operation, eliminating the need for front loaders. The facility also includes storage capacity for more than 20,000 tons of cotton lint, expanding LDC’s current receival, storage and shipping capabilities in the state.
LDC, which imports and distributes inputs as part of its activities, will leverage the new hub to bring fertilizers directly to the interior, storing them on site. “In this way, we guarantee the availability of fertilizer when the producer needs it, aligning supply with demand in the field,” explained Bruno Andrade, Head of Inputs for North Latin America. “The hub further strengthens LDC’s position as a strategic partner to suppliers and producers, and one of the country’s main fertilizer players, by expanding its geographical presence and optimizing its product portfolio with its own blending operation, enabling us to meet business partners’ needs more effectively”.
“The hub reflects the company’s long‑term commitment to the development of the country’s production chains. As a global leader in cotton merchandizing, integrating origination, storage and logistics also allows us to keep pace with the growth of national production and contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Brazilian cotton in the global market,” added Dawid Wajs, Head of Cotton for North Latin America.
Choosing Rondonópolis reflects the region’s relevance as the main logistics hub in Mato Grosso, a state that accounts for around 22% of national fertilizer consumption, according to ANDA (the National Fertilizer Distribution Association), and leads Brazilian cotton production at more than 70% of the country’s planted area, according to Conab (the National Supply Company). This context amplifies the synergies and operational gains made possible by LDC’s hub.
