This position will translate functional specifications into more details to guide development. Examine and evaluate current business processes, data, and systems, and identify its requirements. Liaise with users to track additional requirements and features. Document and support building interfaces between new and legacy systems. Collaborate with developers to produce new applications and deliver solutions to end users. Validate changes by testing programs.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Understand and document current business processes. Support and contribute to the documentation of as is and to be processes and describe the changes required.
- Analyze requirements and historical data and validate outputs with original users. Outline verification criteria to ensure requirements are met. Maintain documentation and traceability throughout project.
- Understand system functionalities and be able to recommend solutions and improvements
- Conducting gaps analyses between the as-is and to-be processes, identifying gaps with existing system functionalities, reports, and controls.
- Identify elicit and document user/project requirements using appropriate modeling technique if required.
- Maintain road map to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
- Draft and maintain basic technical and/or user documentation to a high standard.
- Work closely with the Regional and Global teams to facilitate developments.
- Act as first line support to the business in case of issues during project and act as second line support post go-live.
- Help clarify and prioritize end user support issues for Support Team as needed: confirming impact, priority, proposing and clarifying resolution steps for users etc.
- Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.

- 1 year minimum of experience working as Business Analyst/Data Analyst/Data Science
- Good knowledge of key financial processes and best practice
- Commodities trading, inventory or logistics experience an advantage
- Understanding of Project Management methodology and best practices
- Good Microsoft Visio and Excel skills
- Business Analysis Certification a strong advantage
Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses
- Background/Degree in Data Science, Business Administration, IT
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, reactive, and challenging trading
- Ability to manage own time and
- Ability to own a task and deliver to required timelines
- Ability to anticipate issues and suggest resolutions.
