• Ensuring that local data to produce IFRS and local financial reports are complete, accurate, and reliable.
• Local tax obligations are fulfilled in a timely manner and free of error.
• Preparation of local tax declarations (VAT, WHTcorporate, direct, indirect taxes) and assisting the auditors in controlling
• Assist the execution team on a daily basis with sales/purchase invoice reconciliation and postings
Main Responsibilities:
- Performing daily/monthly/ad-hoc accounting operations per VUK and TTK laws and regulations
- Taking part in the IFRS adjustment entries to be performed at the Group level.
- Performing monthly reconciliation with banks, buyers and sellers and tax accounts
- Performing Local GAAP vs (IFRS) Group reconciliation in terms of Receivables, Payables and Inventories
- Supporting finance coordinator in financial activities (Monthly IFRS Reporting, Monthly Ad-Hoc P&L Reporting, Intercompany Reporting, Tax, Budget)
- Providing first response to Ad-Hoc request of external accountants and auditors, or communicating them to Finance Manager in case of having no solution
- Performing monthly calculation of accruals, depreciation & amortization schedules etc.
- Performing the role of controller in the periodical inventory counts
- Ensuring properly documentation of derivative transactions.
- Analyze the financial statement accounts for accuracy and adequacy in line with IFRS and local GAAP, ensure reconciliations are performed in a consistent manner in line with procedures,
- Communication with group companies and perform Intercompany account reconciliation
Experience
Experience |
Knowledge and Experience:
- 5+ years accounting or finance experience
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance etc.
- Fluency in English (written & spoken)
Technical/ Functional skills:
- Strong IT aptitude
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Good English knowledge (Spoken/written)
- Good level of knowledge in Turkish Local GAAP and tax regulations
- A solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting fundamentals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must excel around communication and manage deadlines proactively
- Must demonstrate an innate curiosity around systems and flow of information
- Experience with SAP and SAP BI is plus
Other skills and competencies:
- Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Self-Motivation and Self-Starter with the ability to do what needs to be done without being micromanaged
- Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks, proactively manage numerous projects, and prioritize competing timelines
- Demonstrate a problem solving/ solution-oriented approach
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
- Interact professionally with co-workers, Company business associates and the general public
- Work together in a cooperative spirit to serve the best interests of the Company
