Main accountabilities (Main Responsibilities):

 

1. Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain databases to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Design surveys and coordinate data collection from coffee farmers and supply chain intermediaries, working closely with field technicians.
  • Ensure data quality through rigorous checks and analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret sustainability metrics within the coffee supply chain, focusing on LDC Responsible Sourcing (RS) and Stronger Coffee Initiative (SCI) programs.
  • For RS, gather, clean, and structure supply chain compliance data for the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and prepare traceability reports for verified coffee purchases under LDC RSP A, in coordination with procurement and execution teams.
  • For SCI, establish baseline carbon surveys and other relevant monitoring surveys.

2. Reporting and Communication:

  •  Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, progress, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
  •  Produce reports and presentations based on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) findings as required.

3. Sustainability Strategy and Implementation:

  •  Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and action plans under the supervision of the sustainability country manager
  •  Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments related to coffee sustainability.

4. Capacity Building and Support:

  • Build internal capacity for successful implementation of the LDC M&E system, collaborating with field technicians and relevant departments.
  • Serve as an internal and external reference on LDC’s M&E processes.

5. General Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure all activities comply with relevant Group Code of Conducts, legal demands, and ethical standards.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by the national sustainability manager.

Experience: 2-4 years with a minimum of 1 year experience in an M&E position with responsibilities for planning, managing surveys, ideally in the coffee or agricultural industry

Knowledge: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience in developing and refining data collection tools are advantageous.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Economics, International Business, or related fields.

Languages: Very good level of English is required (oral and written), Local Language

Systems: Excel, and Power Bi/QGIS is a plus
