LDC is currently recruiting for an Experienced Senior Accountant to join their team based in Toowoomba. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a globally leading agriculture business that is currently going through a growth phase.

This role would provide Regulator, Compliance, Statutory, Accounting and Financial reporting to both our local and global business groups.

 

Key responsibilities may be but not limited to –

  • Maintain and manage the reconciliation and analysis of data in financial systems from front office system to back office system to ensure financial records are accurate as per procedure guidelines
  • Accurate and timely compliance reporting including BAS, FBT, Levies and Annual Accounting
  • Assist in the preparation of Special Purpose and General Purpose financial statements in accordance with Corporations Law and relevant Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) for external auditors sign-offs.
  • Preparation of work papers supporting financial disclosures
  • Ensuring Group Reporting is published by due dates.
  • Assist in the preparation and compilation of the annual budget, annual reforecast and 5 year business plan for the company.
  • Managing a small team of staff in achieving team objectives
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 5-10  years’ experience working in a finance team preferably within the commodities/agribusiness sector with a deep knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and Australian tax legislation.
  • Understanding of accounting principles for processing and warehousing assets, derivative products (futures, forwards and options).  Understanding of treasury/funding functions
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required. JDE experience is preferrable.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse qualitative and quantitative information.

Experience
