This position will be responsible for managing the origination and sale of all grains in the country mainly with a focus on export markets with accompanying risks (price, spreads, time, logistics, and quality specifications) of this business. Additionally, the position will have responsibility for identifying profitable trading opportunities in the market based on information gathered from physical side of the business.

- Manage LDCU’s origination process within the entrusted region;
- Develop the origination volumes of grains in the entrusted region;
- Monitor logistic and execution of contracts within the region;
- Monitor the work of the local execution team;
- Develop a precise monitoring of our execution costs at each step of the value chain;
- LDCU market reports and positions within the region;
- Coordinate trading strategies with LDCU trading department;
- Maintain reliable connections between LDCU and local counterparts (e.g. traders, domestic buyers, farmers, ports, tax inspection) in Ukraine;
- Ensure data collection for LDCU trading and research;
- Communicate any information, which could be of interest to Management, Trading team, Research, Logistic, Accounting and Legal departments.

Knowledge and Experience:
Experience (including number of years):
- 2 (plus) years of commercial experience in the grain trade or other relevant commodity trading experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated strong negotiating skills and commercial understanding combined with the right commercial attitude and results orientation
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to select relevant information from a flow of information (distinction between main and side issues)
- Demonstrated ability to manage trading risks
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
- Keen on taking responsibility and ownership of duties
- Understanding the developments in and application grain market in the country
- Detail-oriented
- Proficiency with MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education:
- Higher education/Bachelor degree
Languages:
- Ukrainian – native
- English – intermediate (preferable)
Technical/ Functional skills:
- Understanding of supply and demand relationship
- Strong grasp of the Ukrainian Agricultural market i.e. participants in it, stakeholders
- Strong numerical skills
Other skills and competencies:
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Level of independence within the set mandate
- Eager to grow personally and professionally
- Open for changes, readiness to accept a different point of view
