Responsibilities:
- Enter trades in atlas and pull up reports by destination, customer, to proactively flag LC, shipping details, claims follow ups with marketing and trading teams of each destination.
- Coordinate with origin logistics and execution teams on shipment updates as well as documents status.
- Manage and flag Mark to Market issues across customer and destinations to traders and commercial team regularly.
- Enter fixation tickets in LDC Bleu on a real time basis and co-ordinate with customer on fixation reconciliation.
- Manage and send daily trading & marketing recap for global chat/email groups for Asia time zone.
- Create, maintain, update and send regular trade and marketing reports on emails/Excel/Power BI (preferably ability to create Power BI apps) related to:
- coordinate with research/info providers on arrivals of shipments in each destination and track it with final numbers projections
- market share in each destination and competitor and mill buying tracking
- values traded history
- Assist the trading desk on preparing PPTs, calls related material.
- Daily market Trade tracking and recording
- Report the daily closing position in the portfolio
- Updating in system all trades, reporting etc.
- Coordination with Brokers for execution of physical trades
- Coordination with Execution and accounts for trade related documentation.
- Daily follow up with suppliers and brokers for execution of pending contracts
- Responsible for all documents related to trade as per company policy
- Finalization and settling of claims or delivery orders of particular counterparts
- Assisting on cash flow projections by projecting receipts and payments
- Position overview and supervision as a coordinating point person at the trading desk etc.
Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Marketing, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power BI.
- A learning and people’s attitude would help to advance into more commercial role eventually with experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in trading environment and commodities business.
- Attention to detail, able to diligently follow-up, work well under pressure and forward thinking.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to relate well to people at all levels
- Good analytical, and Time Management Skills
- Capable of acting on own initiative;
- Good Reporting Skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail;
- Committed approach to team work;
- Resilience and adaptability to unforeseen work demands;
- Willingness to accept responsibility
- Able to manage change.
- Well versed with basic computer tools (excel, word, PowerPoint) – Microsoft Office.
