The Louis Dreyfus Company are currently recruiting for two (2) full-time positions as Ginners, based in Emerald. The Ginner is in charge of their shift and must ensure the efficient, effective and safe operation of all areas under his control. This is to be perform in a consistent way in which the ginner has been instructed, to oversee, manage and ensure all areas of the Gin production are operating safely and within state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • SHE (Safety, Health and Environment)
  • Gin Operation and Safety
  • Maintain the physical appearance of the premises and areas under your control to the satisfaction of the Manager. 
  • Monitor production and conduct preventative maintenance  
  • Employee Supervision during day or night shift
  • Assist the Manager in instruction and tutoring of the crew in their duties and responsibilities and ensuring full utilization of staff at all times
  • Work permits

Essential skills

  • Background in, Mechanical, Electrical, hydraulic, fitter, welding, or fabrication
  • At least four year’s relevant experience. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on the job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification
  • Working within a strict safe work environment

Desired but not essential skills

  • Strong supervision skills in a maintenance/production environment
  • Mechanical, maintenance and/or electrical knowledge
  • Computer literacy
  • Reporting
  • Machine Operation
  • Leadership abilities
