Grains Strengths in China
LDC started selling grains to China in 1974 and has been an active supplier ever since.
Leveraging our global presence, we have established strategic partnerships with major domestic feed mills, starch and ethanol producers, wheat flour mills and local trading houses, and offer insights into product prices from global origins to major Chinese importers.
We are growing our business with a flexible model that relies on our market, cash trading and management expertise to ensure reliable delivery and value-added service across our value chain – from origination and storage to distribution and marketing.
- We market corn, wheat, barley, sorghum and Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles (DDGS) from global origins to major domestic customers
- We originate wheat and corn from the country’s north-east and North China Plain, and have started merchandizing these to customers in Southern China
- We build strategic relationships with local warehouses, logistic partners and ports in major producing and consuming regions
- In recent years we have become one of the top grain suppliers to domestic customers
- We are active members of both the Dalian and Zhengzhou Commodity Exchanges
Oilseeds Strengths in China
The Oilseeds Platform in China supplies the domestic market with millions of tons of soybeans annually, sourced in key producing regions in the Americas. We are also a leading supplier of vegetable oils to China, produced through our extensive oilseeds processing network.
We operate strategically-located soybean crushing facilities in the country, supplying soybean meal, oil and by-products to key consumer markets.
Soybean meal is supplied to both local and major domestic feed milling groups, while soybean oil is supplied to major refiners and bottlers for both food production and industrial processes.
