The Challenge
Create a zero-accident work environment, by encouraging our employees, contractors and other stakeholders to adopt safer, healthier practices and lifestyles.
Action in 2020
- Committed to Zero: a record year for safety metrics, with accident frequency, gravity and severity indexes down by 27%, 33% and 47% respectively year on year, and the lowest-ever rate of recordable incidents.
- Covid-19 Response: a Global Emergency Response Team was created to ensure all necessary resources were available and all appropriate measures in place to keep our people safe.
- Community Action: we supported customers, suppliers and communities through Covid-19 with a range of initiatives and partnerships.
